WED/THU: Keynote Production [Day 6 of 17]


Warm-UP: Open your Event List and Keynote and start working!



Daily Learning Target(s):  
  • I can continue PRODUCTION of my WHY AM I Keynote presentation slides
  • I can correctly submit my Benchmark 4 Keynote to my
    Google Classroom
Announcements: 
    • The Lab will be open BEFORE SCHOOL sometimes - and will likely be open more than afterschool time
      • 1st come, 1st serve on your DLE computer.
      • There usually will NOT be time to download to another computer and back up after (just sayin')
      • I MAY NOT be able to help even when the lab is open depending on my own work needs.
      • MANY of you will need more than just class time to complete this project - figure it out.
    • Computers # 11 & 16 were replaced: You will need to download your backup to proceed. If there is a problem with your backup talk to John
    • Bring HEADPHONES EVERY DAY!
Homework 
  • Do ALL of your THINKING outside of class
  • SEND PHOTOS to your school email or Google Drive
    • Or bring photos on a flash drive
    • Send or Bring the LARGEST FILE SIZE VERSION POSSIBLE

  • REMEMBER: notify John if your drives are not working

      • Everybody should be backing up to google drive during every class - perhaps after you finish every slide!
        • REMEMBER THE POLICY: YOU are responsible for the safety of your data even if our technology fails. Back up your data!
    • Mini Lessons Available (just ask!)
      • Visualization of slide design and mechanics
      • Grouping, stacking and otherwise arranging and moving as and within  a group
      • Masking and "instant alpha"ing
      • Animating on a path and choosing the proper effect
      • Object placement (big photos, hiding flaws, aligning and distributing)
      • Locating and downloading the best image
    • Continue PRODUCTION on "WHY AM I" slides  [95+/-]
      • Use your NEW KEYNOTE
      • Continue your existing slide or...
      • Select another event from your brainstorm
        • Complete the writing portion - make sure you know what you are trying to "say" with this slide - these words are the basis of your script: what you will actually say on exhibition night
        • Collect up images from the internet - follow the protocol in this lesson
          • REMEMBER: Use the Image Search TOOLS and download correctly
          • REMEMBER: No WATERMARKED images
          • REMEMBER: No memes
          • REMEMBER: No images with words already on them
        • Make a rough layout of your slide and ask for feedback
      • If you get stuck...
        • Ask your NEIGHBOR
        • Ask your AISLE
        • Ask your TEACHER
      • When tired or "finished" have a neighbor explain their idea and how they are building the slide, then get back to work..
    • Upload and submit your current Keynote file to BENCHMARK #4 in your google classroom [05]
      • If time: Also back it up in your Google Drive again (the classroom copy IS a backup)
