      • To receive any credit you must stay for the entire presentation, through the artist panel and dismissal
    • Why:
      • Explore the reflective thinking we’ve been doing in DLE and Advisory about WHY we are the person that we are.
      • Showcase our technical and artistic Keynote skills
      • Practice our presentation & public speaking skills
    • Requirements:
      • Total EVENTS (some events may take more than one slide to convey correctly, all events must be "high-quality" with a purpose & enough detail to effectively convey why it made or makes you the person you are today)
        • 10+  to qualify for a "B
          • You have approximately 85 minutes per slide of class time if you are attempting a "B"
        • 14+  to qualify for an "A"
          • You have approximately 60 minutes per slide of class time if you are attempting an "A"

        • 6 to qualify for a B
        • 8 to qualify for an A
      • COMPLEX Slides will
        • Animate multiple items
        • Have multiple animations on single items
        • Utilize complex timings to coordinate multiple animations
        • Further the story (simply animating everything onto or off the slide is NOT complex.  Making the slide come alive, like a simple cartoon, is complex)
        • Be multi-layered single slides and NOT require a transition to another slide to complete the design
      • To get full credit ALL Slides will
        • Use the proper technique to accomplish the attempted goals
        • Have only labeling text - all explanatory or expository text must be in the script, not on the screen.
        • Use animation to SHOW the story and SPOKEN words to TELL the story
        • Be neat and professional, paying attention to balance and alignment as well as the small details
          • Masks and alphas are as PERFECT as is practical and show effort and care
          • Zero misspellings and grammar mistakes
          • All timings, animations, and transitions are thoughtful, natural, and appropriate
          • All images are the highest resolution possible & free of watermarks & other additions (no memes or other predesigned images)
      • Slides will be assessed on attention to detail, technical skill, artistic vision, & timeliness (as detailed on the timeline)
      • FIRST Slide is a title slide (does NOT count as an Event) & must include
        • Title of your Keynote (could be "why am I" or anything you artistically choose to convey a similar meaning)
        • Your Full Name
        • Your Advisor's Name
        • This slide does NOT count  as an Event but it still needs to be fully designed
      • LAST slide is BLANK (same background as preceding slide or other plain solid color)
        • This slide does NOT count as one of your required number of slides
      • Presenter Notes or Note-cards must be written for ALL SLIDES (except the blank one)
        • Your first drafts are in your Event Brainstorm
        • Write your penultimate draft in a google doc as you are working.
          • John will help you format it as note cards
        • Finished scripts are DUE as each slide is due
        • Your Script will be assessed on detail, impact & “authenticity”
      • Timeline:

      • Use your NEW KEYNOTE
      • Continue your existing slide or...
      • Select another event from your brainstorm
        • Complete the writing portion - make sure you know what you are trying to "say" with this slide - these words are the basis of your script: what you will actually say on exhibition night
        • Collect up images from the internet - follow the protocol in this lesson
          • REMEMBER: Use the Image Search TOOLS and download correctly
          • REMEMBER: No WATERMARKED images
          • REMEMBER: No memes
          • REMEMBER: No images with words already on them
