FRI: Documentary Work Day #2

TODAY:
  • When you leave class today you should be 100% clear about what you don't have and with a plan to get/complete it over Spring Break so that your project can be the best it can be. Protect your 4th quarter grade!
  • Today you should remain in your own seat working at your own computer 100% of the time.
  • If the teacher tells me you were off task or disrespectful I will believe them and lower your project grade.

If you  DO NOT  have footage
  • What are you thinking?
  • You are now WAY behind.
  • If you return from Spring Break with no footage the highest grade you can receive for the project will be a C+
    • Work on your script
    • Work on your charts & graphs
    • Work on your Data/Research
    • Work on Storyboards
    • Work on your Featurette
    • TYPE and/or do homework for another class
If you  DO  have footage:
  • If Footage is ON YOUR PHONE
    • Upload it to Google Photos from your phone and then choose from the list above while waiting; then continue
  • If Footage is ALREADY ONLINE or you have your iPhone cable
    • Download footage from Google Photos & put it in your period drive; Create a new project for your documentary; import the footage into your project from the period drive or directly from your iPhone
    • If you are having trouble downloading from Google Photos put the videos in an ALBUM, then you should be able to download all the videos in the album at once.  If it still doesn't work (and you can be calm about it) ask the teacher if you can get help from another student.
    • If you are having trouble downloading from your iPhone try another cable or give up and transfer the files via the cloud, you don't want to waste the time figuring out why the cord isn't working.
If Footage is  already imported  into iMovie:
    • Storyboard your edits, then...
      • Edit your storyboarded video
    • Storyboard out any B-Roll and additional footage you need to get over the break.
  • When finished with EVERYTHING you can do for your documentary then go pick something of the list for kids who didn't have video to edit.
  • Do NOT help anyone else unless they are your shoulder partner
DAILY Learning Target(s):
  • I can independently work on my Documentary Project
The Week Ahead & Announcements
  • John is out Bargaining today.
  • Have a great Spring Break and don't die.
