New Skills:

  • Adding background audio - only after ALL editing and title-ing has been finished
    • Legally, this is only OK for in-school projects
    • Locate your song (CLEAN ONLY) on youtube.com
    • Copy the SHARE LINK
    • Go to flvto.biz
    • DO NOT INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE
    • Follow the instructions to convert the song online & download the song after converted.
    • Move the mp3 file to your Period Drive
    • DRAG the mp3 into your project and drop it UNDER your finished video

Your How-To footage is already uploaded
Download your HOW-TO footage from your Google Photos & then MOVE it to your Period Drive and then go to step FIVE

Your How-To footage is NOT uploaded
Upload your How-To footage (ORIGINAL QUALITY ONLY)
to your Google Photos and then go to step ONE

Your How-To footage is on an iPhone AND you have the correct cable!
Import HOW-TO footage directly into iMovie from your phone and then go to step FIVE*
*DO NOT DELETE THE ORIGINAL VIDEOS FROM YOUR PHONE UNTIL ALSO BACKED UP TO Google Photos

You have NOT recorded your How-To footage
YOU ARE WAY BEHIND - What are you thinking? This entire thing is DUE on Friday.  Practice editing using the footage from FRIDAY.

Start a NEW iMovie project
Name it:
"How-To Whatever you are doing by Your Full Name"
EX: "How to Write a Blog Entry by John Kittredge"

Import your
HOW-TO footage

Put together a "first draft" of your video
Use your Shoulder Partners to check your work

Add any Titles or Sub-Titles
Make sure everything is 100% spelled right AND no stray text!

Add any Transitions that are appropriate
REMEMBER: No transitions is a higher grade than out of context transitions
