      Video Production: iMovie: Our FEATURE - Day 1

            • Use a variety of shot types appropriately to make the best film (and therefore get the best grade)
          • Must have storyboard as a rough draft
          • Should use use appropriate Transitions
          • MAY have opening titles u
          • SHOULD have closing credits
          • Bloopers can be added AFTER the credits or during the credits if you are slick
          • You must utilize the rule of thirds and use of lighting & sound as taught in class

          • We will begin our next film after Spring Break.  
          • Students who did poorly on the last film or who want an "A" on this one MUST shoot footage over the break to make sure they get the grades they need.
          • Here are the requirements
            • Storyboard 
              • Can be completed in class the week we come back
            • Script for all speaking parts, location and camera movements 
              • Can be completed in class the week we come back
            • Approximately 5 minutes long OR LESS
            • An interesting and effective variety of shot types that contribute to your storytelling
            • Either a short fiction movie -or-
              • A documentary about a real person or place
            • It can be comedy, action, drama, whatever you want but it must be school appropriate.
          • Things to pay attention to!
            • SOUND! Most of you lost substantial points on the 'how-to' videos because of poor sound.
              • Either PLAN for voiceover or
              • SHOOT WITH SOUND IN MIND AND CHECK YOUR WORK!
            • LIGHT! 
              • If you are shooting in-doors you MUST use additional lighting to light your scenes (remember El Mariachi had 2 clip-on lights - that's enough for you too!)
