Announcements 

• The end of the 1st semester is upon us. 
• The semester ends December 16th. 
• Its in your responsibility to make sure that you are in good academic standing.  
• Here are a few tips for making sure your academic performance comes as no surprise: 
1. Access your grades on power school. Be aware of how you are performing ( or not performing) at any given time.
2.  Discuss your grades with your teacher. Discuss the ways in which you can earn better grades. Find out specifically what you need to do. 
3.  Handle your academic business. Need to study for a test? Get those notes from a peer? Do it. Avoid procrastination. 
4.  Attend office hours. You have numerous opportunities throughout the school year to complete assignments, get feedback and support - take advantage!

• Honoring students who have excelled academically. 
• Categories: 
• High Honor Roll: 3.5+ 
• Honor Roll : 3.0+ 
• Growth Award: 2.7+
• During our honor roll community meeting recipients from each category will be called up to receive an award and a raffle ticket. At the end of community meeting a prize will be raffled. 
• Recipients please be prepared to take an picture once all awards are received in your advisory. 
• Mistakes happen - check your progress report if you think you should have been recognized and were not - we will make it right.
