Monday: [VP] Introduction to iMovie I

TURN IN YOUR STORYBOARD  ON THE CHAIR
so John can check it in 
WHILE YOU DOWNLOAD THE SAMPLE FILES

Warm-Up:  
  • Sign in to your Google Classroom and download the following 3 files
    • Best 2015 Superbowl Commercials?.mp4
    • Top 10 Superbowl Ads of All time?.mp4
    • p?iMovie Library.imovielibrary.zip
  • Store all three files in a new folder on your DATA DRIVE as follows:
    • Period ?
      • Your Name
        • iMovie (<- this is your new folder!)
          • 3 Files are stored here in your new iMovie folder
  • DOUBLECLICK "p?iMovie Library.imovielibrary.zip" and it will unzip into a same name file without the zip
  • RENAME "p?iMovie Library.imovielibrary" TO "YOUR NAME p?iMovie Library.imovielibrary"

  • I can IMPORT video in to iMovie (10) and be certain it is stored on the DATA DRIVE

        • The project requirements:
          • These are the minimum requirements for your video.
          • You will receive an “Application of Knowledge” grade for following these requirements as listed below:
            • Individual or PAIR project
              • Individuals are eligible for an "B" by meeting the requirements
              • Pairs are eligible for an "B" by EXCEEDING the requirements
            • Individuals that need to borrow equipment can speak to John after class. Pairs must use own equipment
            • Video must effectively teach an entire concept
            • Video must be between 60 and 120 seconds long - unless approved otherwise
            • Every clip must be 5 seconds or shorter when edited
            • Video must include at least 5 different shot types
            • Video must have approved storyboard before shooting with Shot Types and Dialogue indicated
            You must utilize your photographic techniques (light/angle/rule of 3rds/etc…) as well as pay attention to sound quality and camera motion as discussed in class
