"[Photography] is an immediate sketch, done with intuition,
and you can't [really] correct it..."
Henri Cartier-Bresson
Daily Learning Target(s):
- I can make an intelligent choice about who I work with
- I will learn to take better pictures - even with a crappy camera
- [I can prepare my phone for the photo unit if for some reason I STILL have not done so]
Homework:
- The Extra Credit Photo Challenges: To be turned in via your PHOTO BLOG
- Take photos... If you LIKE the photos you take can you explain WHY you like them more than just talking about liking the subject of the photo?
Announcements:
- We are going out this month to take nature pictures around the lake, portraits and more!
- You must be willing to actually walk outside
- https://www.typing.com/student/join#5B7CC6D145997
- Your Photo Portfolio BLOG!
- Bring Fully Charged Cell Phones and Cameras
- John will mock your diagonal pictures unless you can tell him why you took it that way
- All photos taken must be ONLINE before the next class - we do NOT upload our cell phone photos in class.
Agenda: [100]
- Warm-Up: Typing.com [10]
- Partner Proposals & New Seats [30]
- Everyone should be ready to move - log out of your computer
- When YOU and your Partner are ready go line up outside the door with your stuff. Pay attention to your place in line - do not allow cutting
- Groups of FOUR (TWO partnerships) can propose adjacent seating & should line up together
- Once you have new seats go to your new computer and go to your blogger site at www.blogger.com
- Whilst you are waiting, follow the instructions below to change your privacy & comment settings.
- Then poke around, what other kinds of things are changeable?
- Changing your blogger settings
- Change your privacy settings if you don't want people to be able to find your blog by searching on Google (anyone with the address will be able to see it - your work is still public on the internet, just not searchable)
- Change your Post & Comment settings
- Set your posts to show at most "1 days on the main page"
- Each assignment will be considered a "day"
- Set comments to "users with Google accounts"
- This prevents anonymous comments
- Set comment moderation to "always"
- This puts YOU in charge of which comments are published alongside your Photos and Reflections
You can disable comments entirely by hiding them
I think...

- NAME the album something that makes sense - put the words PHOTO WALK #1 in the name (I used a name that works for me-can you figure out what it means?)
- Look through your photos and FAVORITE the ones you might want to submit using the STAR in the upper RIGHT corner of the picture (when looking at a single picture)
