• When YOU and your Partner are ready go line up outside the door with your stuff.  Pay attention to your place in line - do not allow cutting
• Groups of FOUR (TWO partnerships) can propose adjacent seating & should line up together
• Once you have new seats go to your new computer and go to your blogger site at www.blogger.com
• Whilst you are waiting, follow the instructions below to change your privacy & comment settings.
• Then poke around, what other kinds of things are changeable?

• Change your privacy settings if you don't want people to be able to find your blog by searching on Google (anyone with the address will be able to see it - your work is still public on the internet, just not searchable)

• Change your Post & Comment settings
• Set your posts to show at most "1 days on the main page"
• Each assignment will be considered a "day"
• Set comments to "users with Google accounts"
• This prevents anonymous comments
• Set comment moderation to "always"
• This puts YOU in charge of which comments are published alongside your Photos and Reflections

You can disable comments entirely by hiding them

• SELECT the FIRST ONE using the CIRCLE in the upper LEFT corner of the picture (when looking at a bunch of pictures)

• SHARE them to your school account using the share menu

• Find your photos!  Look in the notifications if you can't!

• ADD the shared photos to your school account using the cloud/arrow button

• Once you have the photos in your school account SELECT them and put them in an album

• NAME the album something that makes sense - put the words PHOTO WALK #1 in the name (I used a name that works for me-can you figure out what it means?)
• 
• Look through your photos and FAVORITE the ones you might want to submit using the STAR in the upper RIGHT corner of the picture (when looking at a single picture)
• 
• Selecting your photos
• Look through your favorites folder and select the THREE best pictures that show the rule of thirds
• ADDING your photos to the class album
• Make sure you are logged in to your school account
• Click on the CORRECT album for your class period below
• Click ADD photos
• It should take you to your photos 
• Select the THREE you already chose

• One student was able to turn an NC into a C- for their semester grade! (Typing saved their GPA and made it so they didn't have to repeat the credits! Congratulations)
• Many of you with already high grades still put in the effort and you were rewarded with a bonus
• Many of you who really needed to bump up your grade made little to no effort and your grades went down because of it.
• Nobody got an NC due to the final typing grades. All semester NC's existed before the typing grade was entered.
• If you have transitioned to the second typing login you should check your grade to make sure you got the proper credit. Check with John ASAP if you didn't.

• Auditioning your spring partnerships [15]
• Productive Collaboration is more than just group work, it is supporting each other on individual work, providing feedback, honest critique, encouragement and accountability.
• For the spring semester, the hope is that you can find one or more partners that you can work productively with.
• Choose the right partner and the quality of your work and work habits will definitely be reflected in your grades.
• Choose the wrong partner and the same thing will happen only is a real sad-face kinda way.
• A great partner is:
• Someone who will give you their opinion but will refuse to do your work for you
• Someone who will encourage and motivate you to get your work in ON-TIME and to your best ability - staying with you when possible to help
• Someone who will be honest with you when you are messing up and help you get back on track ASAP
• Someone who you want to explore the technical and artistic side of Photography, Photoshop, and Moviemaking with.  If you are great at the technical skills, an awesome partner would have strong artistic skills.
• You have THREE major projects coming up, each of which you can use a partner for. 
• NEXT CLASS you will propose the first of those partnerships and if John agrees you will be assigned seats together for the rest of January.  
• If that partnership is productive you may be allowed to keep that partner for other projects.
• Students who choose NOT to have a partner will be assigned seats with each other for the feedback portion of the units.

FRI: Hella hEAlthy #6 Final Day @ THE SPOT

The Spot is a collaborative youth center in Oakland Chinatown that supports comprehensive positive youth development to prevent violence and foster healthy transitions into adulthood. 

The Spot offers programs and activities that build young people’s competence in multiple areas, as well as develop their confidence, connection to people and institutions, character, and compassion. The theme of the youth center is “Ready for the Future” and The Spot’s culturally attuned activities will include tiered mentorship, leadership roles, and internships for youth to gain knowledge and skills in health and wellness, history and culture, job training/college readiness, and leadership. Instead of merely being a space with co-located services, The Spot will be coordinated to provide a web of support and opportunities for youth and young adults. This web of support requires both a strong infrastructure for administrative as well as program coordination plus anchor partners with youth development expertise in program provision in the content areas.
