TUE: SUB DAY - Critical Literacy Reading Responses

You may do the entire lesson on your own: Move straight from your Typing.com to the Article so that you have ample time to write your article reflection. Follow the written instructions exactly. Do more than one if you can.

  • John is out TODAY trying not to get sicker (sorry)
  • NOTE: John will believe EVERYTHING the SUB tells him!
  • Behavior expectations: 
    • Do your work quietly
    • Stay out of trouble

    • The Articles: This is today's CREDIT [50 +/-]
      • Choose ONE or more of the articles below and read it completely
      • After reading the article, answer the questions FULLY on THIS FORM [Click Here] 
      • Answer all of the questions as fully as possible.  Use evidence from the article (only) to make your case and convince me, your reader.
      • They are of different lengths and reading levels. Pick one that interests you and try it! You can mention the ease or difficulty of the reading in your response!
      • If you get a really short article try another when done, you can finish the second response later for full credit
      • When done with a minimum of one HIGH-QUALITY response to a FULLY READ article you may do the following:
        • Read another article - this will get you the highest credit (if you also complete a second reflection before next Monday)
        • Keep typing in your event list - adding events for your next deadline of 20 (due next Monday)
        • Do a ReadingPlus VOCABULARY Lesson (don't worry if you don't finish it - you can redo it (faster!) next time! 
          • If TOTALLY stuck you may do typing.com - but that is the least credit activity
