TUE/WED: "Why Am I" Keynote - KEYNOTE SUBMISSION & Final Production [Day 8 of 9]

  • I can put the final touches on my WHY AM I Keynote Presentation slides
  • I can rename and submit the final technical draft of my keynote to my Google Classroom
  • I can prepare my cards/notes/script before next class in order to practice
TODAY: Turn in Final Keynote for technical grade
NEXT CLASS: Make minor changes as you practice with your script.  No changes made next class will impact your grade
NEXT WEEK: SAVE your note cards because you perform again in front of your block next week. Changes made next class WILL be seen and graded during your in-class presentation.

Announcements 
  • You have 100 minutes of Computer time left 
    • including after school TODAY for 1st period
  • Today is a THURSDAY Block Day
  • Turn in your Notification slip for 1 Point today
  • NO MORE General OFFICE HOURS BEFORE THE PRESENTATION
  • 1st period additional office hours TODAY- guaranteed for 1st period, leftovers for other periods

ONGOING REMINDERS: 
  • Notify John if your drives are not working
  • Everybody should be backing up to google drive or a flash drive just in case
    • REMEMBER THE POLICY: YOU are responsible for the safety of your data even if our technology fails. Back up your data!

    • Check your images: 
      • do you need to replace any fuzzy or watermarked images?
    • Check your slides: 
      • People should not have to read your slide to understand what it is about
      • Move what you are saying (the story you are telling) from your slides to your script/notes/cards
      • Is everything spelled 100% Correctly?
        • Have a neighbor proofread your slides
        • There is no word such as "i" in our language...
    • Check your Cards/Notes/Script:
      • Are you saying, for every slide that you can, WHY this event helps makes you the person you are today?
    • Add Slides:
      • Are you telling a complete story from beginning to end?
      • Do you need any simple slides to connect the story from one event to another
      • Is everything super lightweight and you need to add in some more serious slides?
      • Is everything really serious? Do you need to add something to lighten the mood?
    • When everything is PERFECT
      • Tell John
      • Do quiet work that you need to do
      • Help others when politely asked
