  • Plan your strategy for completing the work on time

Agenda : [60]
  • Make sure you are meeting all project requirements [xx]
  • Order of Operations:
    • Select minimum 5 high resolution source images
    • CREATE NEW document with an  8x10 inch canvas size
    • Open and place (5) images on 8x10 canvas size
    • ROUGHLY Mask & Place to TEST your IDEA
    • Go over the requirements and rubric with your partner to make sure you are completing the requirements
    • Call John over to consult on progress by the end of the period for full marks
  • PSA Photoshop Technical Requirements  (negotiable depending upon artistry)
    • CANVAS SIZE:  8 x 10 inches - set this when you create the document from FILE | NEW
    • MINIMUM COMPONENTS:
      • Multiple images (5+) will be combined to make the final product - NO WATERMARKS ALLOWED
      • You should be doing a LOT of modification to the component images you use - do not use images that are already complete or “done”, that is plagiarizing
      • Must use masks to show and hide elements
      • Must use transformations and/or warps
      • Must use adjustment layers and styles (‘fx’)
    • Pay attention to these work habits
      • Use groups/folders to apply effects to multiple layers
      • Individual layers that have a repeated mask or adjustment on them and should have been grouped will lose points
      • KEEP ALL USED LAYERS intact, never merge them
      • Delete all UNUSED layers.
      • TEXT is expected (but not required if message is clear and would be compromised by the addition of text)
      • No sloppy work
      • Attention must be paid to colors, font selection and component placement - NO WATERMARKS ALLOWED
      • All selections and resulting masks and cuts must be clean and professional
      • Appropriate masks and filters are used to achieve desired effects
      • Everything on a proper layer for its purpose
      • Elements are grouped for organization and ease of use
