Back Up That! and web work day #2

Purpose:  I will set up my cloud back-up account
and continue working on my personal website

Agenda:
  1. Announcements (I do):
    1. Say hi to Mr. Edwards, he'll be your teacher  today.  Sorry I'm not there - not feeling so good.  Back tomorrow!
    2. Today in History, January 28th:
      1. 1986 – Space Shuttle programSTS-51-L mission – Space Shuttle Challenger breaks apart after lift-off killing all seven astronauts on board.
  2. Lesson (We do)
    1. Today Mr. Edwards is going to run you through signing up for a "Cloud" back-up solution. If you finish on time you may have some time at the END to work on your website
      1. By using this back-up solution you will be able to:
        1. keep a good backup of your school files the entire time you are at EA!
        2. not need to trip out when someone is at your computer, because your files will be there in the cloud!
        3. be able to get to your school files from any computer, anywhere in the world (when you are sick or traveling!)
        4. be able to get to your home files from school!
        5. be able to turn files in to me simply and easily!
    2. You will need to use a different browser than Chrome - Mr. Edwards can explain why
      1. Use SPOTLIGHT to find Safari
      2. Follow Mr. Edward's instructions exactly
        1. You MUST use your school email to sign up for this
    3. Once you are finished and Mr. Edwards has confirmed that you have set-up your account, backed up your folder, and tested that backup,  you may either:
        1. Finish your EA page that was due on Friday.
        2. Begin to write and design your personal page.  HERE IS AN EXAMPLE of a personal site that was done last year.
        3. Do quiet homework or reading for another content class.
