Timeline Day SIX: ADVANCED Tiki-Toki Settings

  • I can adjust the spacing, display mode, and other regular and advanced settings using the Tiki-Toki timeline software

        TODAY:   Lab open at Lunch and after school until 5PM
            DUE:   TOMORROW @ the end of class.

        • You are NO LONGER adding items to your spreadsheet.  If you have NOT been cleared to scan please call John over.
        • Scan whenever you can get one of the machines
          • Put them all in ONE FOLDER
          • Airdrop the folder to your computer
          • Upload the folder to Google Drive
            • Set the folder's PERMISSION to PUBLIC
          • CONVERT THE GOOGLE SHARING LINK for each picture using gdurl.com
            • Use the resulting link in your timeline events
        • Add events to your Tiki-Toki Timeline
        • To get an "A": Experiment with the settings & background to improve and differentiate the display of YOUR stories!


    TUTORIAL

    READ the Admin Guide to see the what & where of Tiki-Toki

    CHANGE the background image BUT BE WARNED:
    Do NOT make the background TOO BUSY
    It must NOT DISTRACT from your stories

    CHANGE the "View Type"
    Play with how the events are displayed...  stacked or side by side?

    PLAY with the ADVANCED SETTINGS


     CONSIDER using "Categories" to make your timeline more visually interesting... and to get an "A"!

    CHANGE the "Story Spacing"
    Play with how the events are displayed...   
    Spread out and true to time? Or compact, with time being relative?
