FRI: Video Production - Sample Scene

NO VERTICAL VIDEO | HOLD YOUR PHONE SIDEWAYS

The Week(s) Ahead & Announcements
  • Family conference THIS WEEK! 
  • CONTINUE BRINGING HEADPHONES EVERY DAY - they are essential for video editing - but don't have them out unless you are told.
  • You will choose new partners and be assigned new seats the first day we return from Spring Break.  
    • Don't be late
    • No group grades (except for behavior) so choose a partner that complements your skills.
      • Are you shy? Choose someone who loves the spotlight
      • Are you shaky? Choose a partner with a steady hand?
      • Are you a good writer? Choose a partner who could use a hand in the idea department.

  • You MUST FILM during SPRING BREAK
  • You MUST arrive to class MONDAY with all of your HOW-TO footage, already uploaded  
  • Optional: El Mariachi!
HOMEWORK:
  • Your Storyboard is due at the end of class TODAY
    • Your sample scene edit is also due then
  • Watch a few different types of TV shows & COUNT how many shots they have in 30 seconds. Divide 30/by that number and you can see how many average seconds each shot lasts for that genre of TV.  Is ACTION the fastest? What about dance? What about romance? Reality? Game show?  
  • Continue to watch different how-to, cooking, home improvement, or "fix it" videos on the internet and think about how well they TEACH what you are supposed to LEARN
  • All filming for the How-To is DUE the first day back from the Break
