• Your folders are "in the bag" which is where the Wonder books are 
• Then: If you have not already done so do the online personality test located HERE
• Next: If you have not already done so on a separate piece of paper (also in your folder) answer these reflection questions:

• What do you think your Personality Test results mean?
• Do you AGREE with your Personality Test results? Why or why not?
• What do you think your Career Self Assessment results mean?
• Do you AGREE with your Career Self Assessment results? Why or why not?
• Does your 'personality' match the kind of career field you got on the Career Self Assessment?
• If it DID match what do you think about "who you are and what you can do" - does this seem like a good path or goal for you?  Why?
• If it DID not match why do you think they were different?  Did you do each of the surveys honestly?  What do you think it might mean that your personality and your career interests are so different?

Good Day

Warrior Scholars!

Today you are going to take 

your next online adaptive assessment

of your reading comprehension. 

This assessment is made up of a combination of vocabulary and short passage questions. You are going to do great. 

For some of you it might take less than 20 minutes, for others it will take longer much. Don't trip. Remember, the test gets harder every time you answer a question right so DON'T GET DISCOURAGED!

It is ESSENTIAL that the classroom remain extremely quiet so that everyone has the best environment.

Take this test seriously because we are going to follow up with you to let you know how you did and to help you make reading goals, as well as help us to decide on the appropriate intervention for you.  

This test is TIMED by the question. If you are running out of time a little clock will appear at the top of the screen. Try and answer the question soon if you see the clock.

When you finish the assessment:

• LAST 15 MINUTES OF CLASS: typing.com

Above All Remain Quiet Until EVERYONE has finished the reading test and the teacher says the ALL QUIET is over

FRI: Hella hEAlthy II @ The SPOT!

The Spot is a collaborative youth center in Oakland Chinatown that supports comprehensive positive youth development to prevent violence and foster healthy transitions into adulthood. 

The Spot offers programs and activities that build young people’s competence in multiple arenas, as well as develop their confidence, connection to people and institutions, character, and compassion. The theme of the youth center is “Ready for the Future” and The Spot’s culturally attuned activities will include tiered mentorship, leadership roles, and internships for youth to gain knowledge and skills in health and wellness, history and culture, job training/college readiness, and leadership. Instead of merely being a space with co-located services, The Spot will be coordinated to provide a web of support and opportunities for youth and young adults. This web of support requires both a strong infrastructure for administrative as well as program coordination plus anchor partners with youth development expertise in program provision in the content areas.
